About Us
Hi, I'm Hunter Purcell, Jr.

I started out as a carpenter's apprentice at thirteen carrying lumber, gathering tools, nailing studs together, basic grunt work learning the trade from my dad and grandfather.

By age 17, I was framing an average home, and could put on just about any type of roofing system.  At that time my two uncles began to teach me the plumbing and drywall business.  I continued to learn all I could from them for the next 2 years.

At 19 I was running my own crews of up to 10 workers, framing, roofing, painting, sheetrocking and building custom homes.

When I was 21, it was off to business school in Texas for 2 years where I studied business management and played football.

After leaving school, I went to California and became a project manager and estimator for a commercial company.

Once back in Virginia, by day I was framing, trimming houses, building additions, garages and custom homes and taking real estate courses at night in order to obtain my broker and real estate license.

I began selling and building custom homes for Groome Construction.  I obtained my own class A business license and after four years of experience, set out on my own.

For the next four years I built and sold custom
homes, worked on additions and garages.

Then history repeated itself and it was back to
work as a project manager / estimator for the
next ten years.

Now I'm back in business for myself, I've been
doing rehabs on bank owned properties,
insurance claim work, and home renovations.
